Cassandra Mertz is a licensed acupuncturist with a Master’s in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She specializes in Japanese Meridian Therapy, a gentle yet highly effective style of acupuncture that incorporates light needling, Teishin (non-insertive tools), ion pumping cords, and tuning forks attuned to ancient Chinese Medicine frequencies.

Cassandra has advanced training in Chinese herbal medicine, including specialized study with Dr. Heiner Fruehauf, and is licensed in Arizona to prescribe individualized herbal formulas. Her clinical expertise includes complex chronic illness, such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, Lyme disease, post-viral syndromes, and other “mystery” conditions, as well as internal medicine and general family care.

Her treatments address both physical concerns and the deeper regulation of the nervous system, providing support for emotional well-being, stress relief, and mind-body-spirit integration. She is a graduate of the New York College of Health Professions and is a nationally board-certified herbalist and Oriental Medicine practitioner (NCCAOM). Monica is also an interfaith minister, Reiki Master and yoga teacher with 30+ years experience in the healing arts.

Monica is committed to providing her patients with the highest standard of care based on an attitude of gentleness, compassion, loving kindness, professionalism, and respect.
